Composting takes place inside a sealed inner reactor chamber. A small fan draws air into the machine continuously, providing oxygen to the compost cultures. A powerful carbon filter removes any lingering odors. Strong tines turn the compost automatically every few hours. Suitable for placement in the kitchen or mushroom lab. The new updated PLUS model can also be placed outdoors, even in temperatures below freezing.
The compost reaction temperature is 140F (60C) which will kill seeds and pathogens as well as activate desirable actinomyces. For mushroom cultivation additional pasteurization is often not necessary. For best results pasteurize finished compost after removing it from the curing tray and before spawning with mushroom mycelium.

Commercial Horse Manure Compost
12 pounds fresh damp horse manure
3 ounces cotton seed meal
6 ounces gypsum
Commercial Chicken Manure Compost
6 pounds wetted chopped straw
6 pounds damp chicken manure
6 ounces gypsum
Household Waste Compost (Experimental)
2 cups of garden soil to activate reaction
2 gallons grains, pasta, bread, sawdust, shredded paper, nuts, nutshells
2 gallons fruits, vegetables, coffee grounds, eggshells
2-3 tablespoons of baking soda to reduce acidity of fruits (lemons, tomatoes, pickles, etc.)
The NatureMill PLUS is designed to handle up to 4 gallons of raw material It is important not to overfill the reactor to prevent jamming. Please read included instructions carefully upon arrival.
